Here are our top four key findings from the 2017 Embedded BI report:

1. Adoption of BI Is Higher Than Ever

More than half of this year’s respondents are now using embedded business intelligence, up nearly 40 percent from last year. And, nearly 30 percent of respondents plan to adopt embedded BI in the next 12 months.

Our take: If you haven’t recently evaluated your analytics offering, consider whether it will continue to drive user adoption and engagement as these newer, more sophisticated requirements become commonplace.

2. Executives Continue to Drive Embedded BI Initiatives

This year’s report reveals that 70 percent of executives and more than 80 percent of respondents in Research & Development (R&D) feel embedded BI is either very important or critical.

Our take: If you’re seeking to initiate a modernization effort for your analytics, don’t wait. There is no better time to leverage executive enthusiasm and gain the resources necessary to facilitate your project.

3. Driving Revenue Is Critical to Executives and R&D

As a whole, the Dresner report shows that both executives and R&D share one goal above all other business functions: driving revenue from embedded analytics. They know that embedded analytics drives user engagement, differentiates their offerings, and helps customers make better decisions.

Our take: Delivering compelling applications with analytics at their core has never been more crucial—or more complicated. We believe today’s customers are looking for security that works and scales in multi-tenant deployments. They want APIs that give them flexibility to handle any analytic or integration need. And they expect unique user experiences and differentiated branding.

4. Dresner Continues to Rank Logi #1 in Embedded BI

For the third year in a row, Dresner ranked us #1 for embedded analytics in its Embedded Business Intelligence Market Study. This follows the June Wisdom of Crowds report, in which Dresner awarded Logi a “Perfect Recommend Score” in its assessment of 26 vendors.

Our take: At Logi, we firmly believe that our sophisticated capabilities—such as security integration, workflow, and write-back support—make us unique and set us apart from our competitors. We’re proud to provide a developer-grade embedded analytics platform that brings tremendous value to product managers and their developers.
